After being spoiled with a couple of three-day workweeks due to Thanksgiving/illness/vacation time, I am at the tail end of a five-day week. More basketball tonight followed by our office Christmas party.

 Last night we taped a few songs from our Christmas Concert with the fine folks from Prairie Public Television, so today will be the first day in SEVERAL that I’m not playing oboe and English horn. I’ll pick them up again in January when Chamber Orchestra rehearsals resume. We’re tackling Beethoven’s First Symphony and Copland’s “Quiet City” for our April concert.

 This weekend Dave and I should be able to wrap up the annual Christmas newsletter and get that sent out to family and friends. Two weeks from Sunday is Christmas Eve! Crazy.
