This spring I told Erin the deck had to put replaced. After we had the house sided last year, the red deck just didn’t look right. I started tearing up the deck in June. I realized the project was going to be a big undertaking. The old deck had the wrong lumber, rotten beams, rusted screws, and the stairs were put on wrong. Along the way I destroyed two saws, cut 100+ boards, and spent several days working in the sun. My supervisor, Nubs, kept a careful watch over me. Erin is anxious to have a little picnic on the deck. I’ve posted some pictures in the photo album under house photos. We decided to try a “sun shade” to help cool us.
