Vacation Recap, Day 4

Our last full day of the trip centered on the Nationals vs. Astros game at the new Nationals Park. Half the fun is getting there, right? It was an early afternoon game, and we took the Metro and even changed trains without messing up and getting lost somewhere in Maryland or someplace. Well, it was hard to go to the wrong place when there were tons of other people going to exactly the same place! The ballpark is awesome. I especially liked the President’s Race when the mascots (Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Roosevelt) ran a race in their ridiculous big-headed costumes. Darin Erstad was the very first batter and played center field. The Astros won 5-0. That evening we ate at Red, Hot & Blue, a BBQ place, and was delicious (we definitely did not starve on this trip). That night, it rained. By this time we were excited to get home so we diligently packed our stuff and called it an early night.
