The flooding situation has taken on a more serious tone this past couple days. Julie, Steve & the kids had to relocate to our house. A new dike put their house on the wet side, and with no access. So they had to leave.

Earlier, Valley City called for a voluntary evacuation of certain areas. Today, that become a mandatory evacuation of the town. Sewage, not flooding water, is the problem. The sewer system collapsed, and sewage started spilling over the downtown area. Mom & Dad’s house is okay, and far away from things. They will probably leave tomorrow to Bismarck and stay with Curt and Kasey.
