Tomorrow the historic Smiley water tower in Grand Forks will come down. The structure has become unsafe and expensive to repair. Smiley greeted us everyday when we lived in Grand Forks. Each morning we delivered newspapers near the tower. Grand Forks painted a nearby water tower with the smiley face minus the blue hat. Here’s a picture of Smiley and the new Smiley.
