My favorite Olympic event is taking center stage in Vancouver tonight! Ladies’ figure skating has it all: drama, style, athleticism, — you name it. I especially love to watch the spiral sequences and layback spins.

Last night was the free dance, the last part of the ice dancing event, and the routines I watched were truly lovely. The Canadian team took the Gold so there has been a different country receiving the Gold in each of the figure skating disciplines at these Olympics.

Mirai Nagasu from the US is skating now. Gorgeous spins. Oh…she just got done and has a little nosebleed. The South Korean Kim Yu-Na will skate later. She is considered the favorite and is apparently the most famous celebrity in her country.

I’m looking forward to more great skating tonight and Thursday – and maybe getting out on the ice myself this weekend! Later.
