When I was growing up we watched G.I. Joes a lot, and played with the action figures.  The show’s slogan was “Real American Heroes.”  In the age of celebs becoming icons and heroes to people, we often forget what a hero is.  Dictionary.com defines hero as “a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities.”

As we grew older, we definitely became acquainted with military, fire, rescue, and police personnel.  We know REAL heroes are those who have served our country in many capacities.  Thank you to the veterans for being “REAL American Heroes.”
