Book review: The Kennedy Detail

Last week I finished reading The Kennedy Detail on my Kindle.  This is an interesting book about the lives of Secret Service and the Kennedy assassination.  I found it to be very interesting, and understood the challenges the agents had up to the event and the mess afterwards.  Much of the book surrounds Agent Clint Hill who was on First Lady Detail.  Agent Hill is a North Dakota native.  President Kennedy and his family were very close to all of the agents.  I particularly found the agents’ lives and events after the assassination interesting.  The government didn’t offer much therapy or assistance to the agents, who had to continue their work immediately.  The agents believe conspiracy theories are just that, theories.  I know many online reviewers hoped for some dirt or theories from the agents.  Instead, the book is an excellent account of the agents’ lives and various events during their careers.  This is an interesting read, and I highly recommend people to read the back-story to a defining moment in American history.
