Most certainly true

Dave and I attended the musical comedy “A Second Helping: The Church Basement Ladies Sequel” the other night. We very much enjoyed the original “Church Basement Ladies” when it was performed here several years ago, and the sequel served up the same feast of fun. Set in 1969-70 when “the times they are a-changin,” the small town church kitchen is a second home for four women and their pastor who wants to be hip and groovy.

It had a good blend of funny and heartwarming moments, and singing and dancing, of course! The auditorium was nearly full, which is always good to see, and the women vastly outnumbered the men, but Dave seemed to enjoy the show and had a lot of laughs.

The next thing we’ll see on the stage will be “Macbeth” in April. In the meantime I’m looking forward to seeing “The King’s Speech” as soon as it hits our local movie theater.
