Popcorn please! (a movie review from Erin)

Dave and I saw “The King’s Speech” a couple weeks ago. It is the first Oscar-winning film I have seen since…let me think…”Chicago”? *Erin checks Wikipedia* Yes, “Chicago” (2002).

We enjoyed the film. It’s different from most of the movies we go to or end up buying. While the main story is about the King working to overcome his stutter with the help of an unconventional teacher, I think one of the major themes is “how do you be a friend to someone who has probably never been friends with a ‘regular person’ his whole life?” A lot to think about.

We had fun spotting  a couple of actors from the Harry Potter series, and part of the musical score was Mozart’s clarinet concerto – one of my favorite pieces of classical music.

When we were in Rochester, Dave picked up the book of the same title and says it’s a good companion to the movie.

Next I’m looking forward to the upcoming  DVD release of “The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader.”
