A blast from the past

We’ve had a busy weekend, and we are not done yet.  Even 11 inches of fresh snow didn’t stop Erin and the orchestra from having a concert Friday evening.  It was a lovely concert with some challenging music for Erin.

Yesterday was housework, Erin’s practice, and prepping for a busy Saturday night.  First, we went to the college scholarship auction.  We bid, and won some musical tickets at Frost Fire Theatre for the summer.  Erin helped the student groups in the fashion show.  Students has a set time to create outfits with aluminum foil and duct tape.  Erin stayed to visit with many friends and co-workers until the end.

I left to attend a bombastic concert with Tom, Bri, and Steve.  Yes, Hairball was in town, and they rocked the Civic Center.  I was unsure what Brianna and Tom would think of the band since it is 80s music.  But hey, they know the songs, and they would enjoy the pyro at the very least.  We all had a blast.  Steve and I enjoyed watching Tom, Bri, and their friends cheeing, dancing, and singing along.  If you’ve never heard of Hairball, they are an 80s cover band, but they have two singers that mimic the original singers.  There are some good videos online of their act.  Oh yeah, the kids – old & young – had a blast.

Erin has another concert today.  This one is of “Epic” proportion.  The band is playing music from Star Wars.  That caught the attention of many to attend.  We hope a good crowd is on hand later.
