It’s been a couple weeks since we posted on here, we’ve been busy with company, kayaking, and traveling. Last weekend, our friends from Murdock, MN, came to visit us. We had a blast with them and their two kids at the White Cloud birthday parade and celebration. In addition, we had a nice BBQ and did some swimming.
The night before Erin and I went to the Bison 6 Cinema to see the movie Zookeeper. We really enjoy movies there, and are planning a visit this week to see the final Harry Potter movie.
This weekend Erin and I ventured up to Pembina County. We visited friends in Bathgate, and checked out Cavalier Friday evening. Saturday we went to Icelandic State Park and kayaked Lake Renwick. Erin and I enjoyed the quiet morning on the water. We got back to Cavalier, and enjoyed some shopping during Crazy Days. We visited with several friends and also enjoyed a quick visit to the Pembina County Museum.
In the evening was our main attraction in Walhalla… “Big River” at the Frost Fire Theatre. The performance was OUTSTANDING. We really liked the play and greeted the actors after the performance. We headed back to Bathgate to have some ice cream with friends. On the way back to Cavalier, we watched some thunderstorms developing to the south.
This morning we headed back home from Cavalier, stopping in Grand Forks to see grandma and Larry. We arrived back in Jamestown just in time for severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings.
We will post some pictures soon.
