We’ve been saving for some time for a trailer to help with the kayaking gear.  A trailer would save our backs from tossing the kayaks on top of a vehicle, and maybe save the vehicles from some minor scratches.  This year we put a little more push into buying one… because traveling with kayaking gear and baby stuff just isn’t going to fit in the same vehicle no matter what we tie down.  Yesterday we bought a 5×8 utility trailer that nicely fits the kayaks.  I didn’t want the trailer to just be in the yard, so I built a patio for the trailer.  After the baby is born we’ll put the trailer to good use and start kayaking.
