We’ve been wanting to take Gabe to the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls since we discovered he likes giraffes (they have several at the zoo).  We finally got the chance this weekend.  We visited several places, but it was the Great Plains Zoo and Sertoma Butterfly House & Aquarium that Gabe just loved.  At the zoo, a young giraffe took a liking to Gabe and bent over just to see him numerous times.  The giraffe did not look at other kids, just Gabe.  A snow monkey and some geese also made some special visits.  After a couple hours at the zoo, our little explorer needed a nap.  Once he recharged he was ready to head over to the Sertoma Butterfly House & Aquarium.  We never expected Gabe to get so excited over the aquariums.  We all had so much fun exploring the area, but were happy to get back home.  Enjoy the pics!
