Done!

The house in Valley City was a blessing in some ways, but in many ways,
it just could nop hold up to Mother Nature and the flooding in 2004,
2009, 2011, and 2013 and the sewer backup on June 20, 2013.  It not only
forced us eventually into bankruptcy, it was, I believe, doing a number
on our health. It was an example of “The Money Pit!”

So, after emphysema, back surgery, and other problems, we just simply
had to surrender!!!  So, July 29, Steve and Dave and a trio of football
players helped move us to Jamestown.  …

Well, that was the beginning of a lot of work. Now, 2 and a half months
later, we finally got done with probably 70 or 80 or so  of shop bags
full of throw aways, a lot of giveaway, a rummage sale, many many trips
to donate to a thrift store, and a lot of recycling …..

And, finally, today, Oct. 13, at around 1:30 p.m., we bound up the last
of the garbage and loaded the last of the items into our van.

Words are just not adequate! What a relief!!!

My text messages to family said it all–DONE!!!

Thank you all–and I mean all, (so many helped) for helping in this
transition from a house to an apartment, from Valley City to Jamestown,
and from our working lives to retirement!

Again, DONE!!!
